On February 6 2022, Queen Elizabeth II became the longest-serving British monarch ever, completing 70 years on the throne.
To mark her Platinum Jubilee, those in the UK are given a four-day bank holiday weekend from Thursday, June 2 to Sunday, June 5.

Hide AdLuckily for those wishing to celebrate with a drink, the government announced that pubs in England and Wales can extend their closing time to 1am on June 2, 3 and 4 in honour of Her Majesty.
We put together a list of London pubs that are hosting festive events to celebrate the Platinum Jubilee - including some family friendly events.
The King & Queen, Caterham

The King & Queen will be hosting a three-day beer festival, from Friday to Sunday, along with a BBQ for visitors to enjoy some food in the garden - and hopefully in the sun!
There will also be live music, face painting and childrens entertainment in the car park from 1pm to 7pm each day.

This popular Australian brunch restaurant is located on Sheldon Square, inside a canal boat filled with pop art.
Serving both food and drink, this funky venue is a great spot to watch the fly-past of the Royal Air Force from the canal at 1pm on Thursday, June 2.

The ticket, which costs £28pp, includes three drinks and food from the Naughty Burger menu.
