Chris Brown will perform at London’s O2 Arena in February 2023 as part of his first solo UK tour in 12 years

Chris Brown has left fans scrambling for tickets for his Under The Influence tour, despite having added an extra date.

The American singer-songwriter, 33, who has over 126 million Instagram followers, took to the platform to announce that he would be going on his first solo UK tour in 12 years.

He sparked a frenzy for tickets when pre-sale began on Wednesday, which has continued up until today’s general release.

Many fans have taken to Twitter to vent about struggling to get tickets and argue that Chris should be performing at a stadium instead of an arena - London’s O2 has a 20,000 capacity, while Wembley Stadium has a 90,000 capacity.

One wrote: “Chris Brown could have sold out Wembley Stadium, the demand for tickets are insane, he will end up doing 5 nights at the 02 Arena. He’s had a groundbreaking career since Run It in 2005 nearly two decades ago, jeeeeeez.”

Another tweeted: “This Chris Brown demand is insane!! His entire European tour basically sold out in minutes. 4 dates at the o2?!”

“Chris Brown should have just done a separate UK tour and done London stadium or Wembley for London dates. This is p***ing me off now,” a third said.

A fourth added: “Not being able to get Chris Brown tickets despite trying in 2 separate pre sales and the general sale has ruined ma week 👍🏽”

Chris Brown added a fourth date in London yesterday after seeing the demand for the previous three dates initially released for the same week. The R&B singer is also set to perform in Manchester, Birmingham, Glasgow and Dublin.

Other locations across Europe include the Netherlands, Germany, Belgium and France. He will be joined throughout the tour by special guest Skillibeng, who is a 25-year-old Jamaican artist, best known for hit song Crocodile Teeth.

Chris took to his Instagram story earlier today to reassure fans that extra dates for his tour will be added. Tickets have been available from AXS, O2 Priority, Ticketmaster and Live Nation.

His return to the UK comes after he was banned by the Home Office in 2010 for assaulting ex-girlfriend Rihanna, alongside a series of other controversies. He has continued to receive a mixed response in the US, including being booed at the American Music Awards last month while also managing to have his 10th album ‘Breezy’ nominated for the Grammy Awards 2023.
