Arsenal ‘enter race’ for £28m striker despite ‘missing out’ on much-needed transfer windfall
and live on Freeview channel 276
Arsenal are still hard at work preparing for the new season as they look to put together another Premier League title charge.
Mikel Arteta’s men collapsed at the final stage last season, but they are determined not to make that mistake again, with the board throwing their weight around their Spanish boss in the summer transfer window. More than £200million has been spent on incomings so far, including the British-record signing of Declan Rice, and we still have weeks to go in the transfer window.

Wahi race hots up
Arsenal are said to have expressed an interest in reported Chelsea target Elye Wahi.
Wahi appeared to be on the brink of leaving Montpellier for Strasbourg, but the youngster is said to have delayed the transfer. Keen to see what else is out there, Wahi is reportedly waiting for another offer, and RMC Sport say Arsenal have put in an enquiry as they look to potentially replace Folarin Balogun in the long-term, with the 22-year-old being linked with an exit.
Meanwhile, the report claims Chelsea are readying a £28million bid for the 20-year-old who scored 19 Ligue 1 goals last season.

Arsenal flop Nicolas Pepe was said to be heading to Saudi Arabia this summer, but the Gunners are going to miss out on offloading him for now, it seems.
According to CBS Sports, the proposed deal that would have seen Pepe join a Saudi club has fallen through. The report doesn’t give a reason for the failed transfer, but it seems Pepe will need to look elsewhere for a new club.
Arsenal will lose money on their £70million investment regardless this summer, but they will want to bring in some sort of cash for Pepe ahead of the new campaign.
