Arsenal winger Joel Ideho is being linked with a move to Burnley following the Clarets’ promotion from the Championship as they eye potential signings under Vincent Kompany. According to reporter Alan Nixon on his Patreon, the Lancashire side are ‘keen’ on luring the youngster to Turf Moor to boost their attacking options ahead of next term in the top flight.
The 19-year-old, who is a Holland youth international, moved to the Emirates Stadium in 2020 having previously played for Willem II and Ajax in his native country. He is yet to make a senior appearance but has played 37 times for the Under-23’s team, chipping in with three goals and four assists.
Swap deal stance
Arsenal are not prepared to let attacker Emile Smith-Rowe head the other way to West Ham as part of a potential move for Declan Rice. It has been well documented that Arteta wants to land the England international ahead of the next campaign to inject more quality into their midfield department.
However, reporter Fabrizio Romano claims that the Gunners are not prepared to do any sort of swap deal, as per a report by CaughtOffside: “Arsenal want to submit a proposal for Declan Rice. We’ll see for sure when the offer is made, it’s hard to predict the day for now. Smith Rowe, however, is part of Arsenal’s plans for the future, they don’t want to let him go.”
