The Blues will be in the market for a new goalkeeper this summer.

Chelsea have shortlisted Aaron Ramsdale as a potential signing in the summer transfer window, LondonWorld understands.

The England international saw his position as Arsenal’s first choice goalkeeper usurped by David Raya this season, who is now the club’s undisputed no.1.

While Ramsdale hasn’t publicly announced his desire to leave the club, it is understood that he remains keen on a new challenge this summer whether it be a permanent move or on loan.

Ramsdale ticks several boxes for Chelsea in terms of key data points, added to the fact that he’s homegrown and only 25-years-old.

Speaking to Football Insider, former England goalkeeper Paul Robinson said:

“Ramsdale deserves to be playing football and I think he would be a great fit at Chelsea.”

“The Chelsea fans would love him there.”

“He could play for any of the top sides in the country.”

“Neither Sanchez nor Petrovic are good enough to take them to the next level, neither are at the same level as Ramsdale.”

“Whoever gets him will have a goalkeeper who is hungry and can prove he is capable of playing for England again.”

Ramsdale joined Arsenal in a deal worth £25million in the summer of 2021 and is contracted to the club until 2026.
