Patrick Vieira has tried to shut out the noise from the Everton fans and his Crystal Palace team flew to Merseyside this morning for the crunch game against Frank Lampard’s side.
It’s been a very encouraging season for the Eagles, and not many predicted that they would be challenging to finish in the top half of the Premier League table when Vieira was appointed last summer.
Credit to chairman Steve Parish who took the chance on him, and has backed the technical team with some brilliant signings that have hit the ground running.
Vieira led Palace to a memorable FA Cup journey which ultimately ended at Wembley.
Last weekend’s draw against Aston Villa means Palace have not lost in their last four games, and Vieira has been nominated for the Premier League Manager of the Season award.
Everton don’t normally lose on Thursday nights, the last time that happened was in 2015 and since then, they have won three and drawn four of their last seven games played on Thursdays.
For Palace, it’s the race to try and finish in the top half of the season and if possible give chances to some of the youngsters coming through.
So with all the pressure on the home side, here is how we expect the Eagles to line-up.
