The early stages of the 2022/23 Premier League season has seen several players either emerge or retain their places as highest value players in the country.
Erling Haaland has exploded onto the scene in English football’s top flight with a staggering 11 goals in seven matches and he and his Manchester City teammates dominate the list of the Premier League’s most valuable players.
In total, the champions can count half of the top 12 MVPs of the division amongst their ranks, according to data from football statistics site Transfermarkt.
Their six high value players are joined by two Liverpool stars and one player each from Manchester United, Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United.
In terms of nationality it’s English players who make up the bulk of the list with five in total while Portugal are second with three and Norway, Egypt, Belgium and Spain have one player each.
