New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to two of Barking and Dagenham’s restaurants, cafes or canteens, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.

Tasty African Food, at 774 Green Lane, Dagenham was handed a three-out-of-five rating after assessment on June 10.

And Millennium Cafe, at 12 Whalebone Lane South, Dagenham was given a score of one on June 10.

It means that of Barking and Dagenham's 180 restaurants, cafes and canteens with ratings, 92 (51%) have ratings of five and none have zero ratings.
