New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to two of Croydon’s takeaways, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.

Capones Pizza Parlour, at 179 Selsdon Park Road, South Croydon was handed a five-out-of-five rating after assessment on November 30.

And Metro's Fried Chicken, at 35 Portland Road, South Norwood, London was given a score of four on November 22.

It means that of Croydon's 327 takeaways with ratings, 161 (49%) have ratings of five and none have zero ratings.
