New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to two of Newham’s restaurants, cafes or canteens, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.

Big Easy Westfield (Stratford), at 158 The Street, Westfield Stratford City, Montfichet Road, Stratford was handed a four-out-of-five rating after assessment on May 24.

And Coffee Palace, at 1 Prince Regent Lane, Plaistow, London was also given a score of four on May 24.

It means that of Newham's 578 restaurants, cafes and canteens with ratings, 355 (61%) have ratings of five and none have zero ratings.
