New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to two of Newham’s takeaways, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.

Dessert Ice Cream Club - Kiosk 2, at The Arcelor Mittal Orbit, 3 Thornton Street, Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, London was handed a five-out-of-five rating after assessment on April 1.

And Bamboo Garden Sushi, at 125 Balaam Street, Plaistow, London was given a score of two on March 6.

It means that of Newham's 321 takeaways with ratings, 116 (36%) have ratings of five and just four have zero ratings.
