65 further coronavirus cases in Richmond
The number of coronavirus cases in Richmond increased by 65 in the last 24 hours, official figures show.
A total of 17,969 people had been confirmed as testing positive for Covid-19 in Richmond when the UK coronavirus daily dashboard was updated on September 16 (Thursday), up from 17,904 on Wednesday.

Hide AdThe rate of infection in Richmond now stands at 9,069 cases per 100,000 people, far lower than the England average of 11,107.
Across the UK, the number of recorded cases increased by 26,326 over the period, to 7,339,009.
The figure does not include cases for Scotland, due to a technical issue affecting the availability of the data on the coronavirus dashboard.
However, there were no new coronavirus deaths recorded in the latest 24-hour period in Richmond.

Hide AdThe dashboard shows 290 people had died in the area by September 16 (Thursday) – which was unchanged from Wednesday.
It means there has been one death in the past week, which is the same as the previous week.
They were among 16,267 deaths recorded across London.
The figures include anyone who died within 28 days of a positive test result for Covid-19, and whose usual residence was in Richmond.
Daily death counts are revised each day, with each case backdated to the actual date of death, so some areas might see their figures revised down.

Hide AdThe figures also show that nearly three-quarters of people in Richmond have received two doses of a Covid-19 vaccine.
The latest figures show 134,049 people had received both jabs by September 15 (Wednesday) – 71% of those aged 16 and over, based on the number of people on the National Immunisation Management Service database.
Across England, 81% of people aged 16 and above had received a second dose of the jab.
Unlike at local level, the national rate was calculated using mid-2020 population estimates from the Office for National Statistics.
