New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to two of Sutton’s restaurants, cafes or canteens, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows – and it’s good news for them both.

Friends Of St Helier Tea Bar, at St Helier Hospital, Wrythe Lane, Carshalton was handed a five-out-of-five rating after assessment on December 13.

And Eatwell Cafe, at 169 Stafford Road, Wallington was also given a score of five on December 12.

It means that of Sutton's 295 restaurants, cafes and canteens with ratings, 206 (70%) have ratings of five and none have zero ratings.
