Visitors found out all about Bellway London’s new Cavendish Grove development in Raynes Park on Saturday (June 22) when a new sales centre opened on the site.

Around 30 guests came along to the launch event and were treated to celebratory refreshments to mark the official opening of the new development off Meadowview Road.

By the end of the day, two three-bedroom houses in Bellway London’s three-storey Harness house style had already been reserved off-plan by buyers keen to secure their chosen plot at the development.

Bellway London is building 107 properties on the former London Electricity Sports and Social Association (LESSA) site, including 63 homes for private sale, a mix of one and two-bedroom apartments and two, three, and four-bedroom houses. There will also be 44 affordable homes for local people, available through low-cost rent or shared ownership.

As part of the project Bellway London will provide new tennis courts, a multi-use games area, a five-a-side football pitch, an outdoor gym and a children’s playground. It will also pay £1.32 million towards local sports facilities.

Daniel Williamson, Sales Director for Bellway London, said: “Visitors to our launch day were very keen to find out more about Cavendish Grove, which is generating a great deal of interest because of its excellent location in Raynes Park.

“New-build homes in such a central spot are not something you come across every day. Imagine living in a modern energy-efficient property and being able to step outside your front door, walk to the station and hop on a direct train to London Waterloo that gets you there in as little as 20 minutes – it’s so convenient.

“We are meeting a need for high-quality housing in the area by creating this neighbourhood and we’re proud to be providing so many affordable properties for local people as part of it.

“Our visitors were impressed with the range of home styles we are including here. There really is something to suit every life stage, from first-time buyers, and couples to families looking for more living space.”

Guests were able to talk to sales advisors and get a feel for the development while trying out the cocktails, mocktails and a spread of burgers, veggie skewers and ice creams that were served up by caterers Food Matters.
