A London teacher who goes above and beyond for her students has been nominated for Collection Pot’s Teacher of The Year competition.

Miss Lovern who teaches at Worple Primary School in Isleworth is beloved by her students for bringing her classroom to life by creating amazing interactive experiences for them. This has included turning her classroom into a Costa Coffee, building a garage for the children to play in and creating an airport.

She was nominated by Lisa Lloyd, who is the parent of reception student Molly. Writing in her nomination, Lisa wrote: “Miss Lovern is so kind and thoughtful, she builds amazing rapport with all the children. In her class she builds wonderful interactive areas for the children such as garages, baby hospitals for them to learn through active play and takes her weekends to go out and source things.

“The work she has done with the children around phonics is nothing short of a miracle and has even the nursery children reading books and sounding out words all the time. They have a real joy of learning through her enthusiasm. Everything she does is completely focused on the children. She has such a wonderful way with everyone that makes everyone listen and be the best they can be. She truly is one in a million.”
