City locals will be able to fine dine from home next week as Uber Eats adds a Michelin-starred spot to its delivery service for a limited time.

West African-inspired restaurant Ikoyi will join the delivery service next Friday and Saturday (May 10 and 11) as it brings its two Michelin-starred menu to Londoners’ doorstep to enjoy at home.

Over the two nights a new five-dish delivery menu will be available to order. It has been especially developed for the restaurant’s Uber Eats debut.

The tasting menu which is priced at £60 will include Mutton Merguez and Green Goddess Slaw, Fried Chicken, Smoked Scotch Bonnet and Raspberry, Jollof Rice and Crab Custard, Suya Tamari Pork, Mustard Greens and Kumquat as well as a Flower Sugar Cake, Batak Berry and Garigette Strawberry.

After bursting into London’s diverse food scene in 2017, Ikoyi achieved its two Michelin stars in 2022 and has since maintained the prestigious status.

Executive chef and co-founder of Ikoyi Jeremy Chan said: “I often enjoy delivery food at home myself when I’m not working. When Uber Eats approached us, we were delighted to partner with them and share some of the tastes and flavours of Ikoyi for people to enjoy at home for the first time.”

Ikoyi’s upcoming feature on Uber Eats is a part of the delivery service’s Hosts series, which aims to make some of the world’s most renowned restaurants and exciting food experiences deliverable. Earlier this year the same series saw Brooklyn Beckham offer a menu inspired by his “global upbringing” to Londoners to order.

Next Friday and Saturday the Ikoyi restaurant will be added to Uber Eats for Londoners to order from. Users will be able to find it by searching Ikoyi in the bar at the top of the app.

Uber Eats usually delivers in a five-mile radius of the restaurant, meaning only those in that area will be able to order.

Ikoyi is based in London’s Strand which means delivery will be available from Kensington to Poplar as well as from near Crouch End to Tulse Hill.
