Edmonton murder: Female suspect, 33, arrested after woman, 58, found dead in home

A female suspect has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a 58-year-old woman was found dead in a home yesterday evening.
The victim was discovered by emergency services after suffering from multiple injuries in a property in Edmonton, Enfield, on Monday.

Hide AdA 33-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of murder today and has been taken into custody for questioning.
Paramedics and police rushed to the house at around 8.30pm and the body of the woman was found.
She was pronounced dead at the scene, police confirmed today.
A post-mortem is due to take place in the next few days to try and work out the cause of death.

Hide AdSo far no arrests have been made as the investigation continues, Scotland Yard said today.
Murder cops are probing the circumstances of the killing and a police cordon is still in place at the house, the Met said.
Ch Supt Simon Crick of the Met Police, responsible for local policing in Enfield and Haringey, said today: “I am deeply saddened by this tragic loss of life.
“My thoughts and condolences are with the victim’s family and friends.
