Man, 20, charged with murder of Elliot Francique in Plaistow

A man has been charged with killing a 20-year-old man who was found with stab wounds in his home in east London.

Menelik Campbell, also aged 20, from Dalston, has been charged with the murder of Elliot Francique , the Met Police said.

Francique was found suffering from stab wounds inside his home in Hudson Close, Newham at 3pm on Tuesday April 19.

Police were called to the address before paramedics from the London Ambulance Service and the air ambulance arrived.

Medical teams worked hard to save the man’s life, but despite their efforts, he was sadly pronounced dead at the scene just after 4.30pm.

His next of kin are aware and continue to be supported by specialist officers.

Campbell is due to appear at Barkingside Magistrates’ Court today (Friday, April 29).
