Park Royal fire: Smoke seen for ‘miles’ as 100 firefighters tackle industrial unit blaze

Dozens of firefighters battled to extinguish a blaze at a north London industrial estate with smoke seen “from miles around”.
Fifteen fire engines and around 100 firefighters dealt with a fire on an industrial estate on Abbey Road in Park Royal, north London, yesterday (Sunday, November 27).

Hide AdPart of the ground floor and half of the first floor and the roof of a single-storey industrial unit was damaged by fire.
There were no reports of any injuries.
In a tweet, the public were warned there was an “industrial blaze” and: “Smoke can be seen from miles around. Please avoid the area if possible.”
A London Fire Brigade (LFB) spokesperson said: “[We were] called at 9.19am and the fire was under control by 1.32pm.
“Fire crews from Park Royal and surrounding fire stations were at the scene.
“The fire is believed to have been accidental but the exact cause has been recorded as undetermined.”
