Hide AdA London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called at 6.54am this morning to reports of a person hit by a train at Ravensbourne Railway Station, Beckenham.
“We sent an ambulance crew, a paramedic in a fast response car and an incident response officer to the scene.
“Sadly a person died at the scene.
“Our crews checked over the driver and passengers on the train.”
Thameslink added: “Sadly, we can confirm that a person was hit by a train earlier this morning between Shortlands and Nunhead.
