Taylor Swift fans travelling to Wembley Stadium over the weekend have been warned that trains will not stop at Wembley Stadium station.

National Rail services will not be stopping at the train station on Saturday June 22 and Sunday 23.

This is due to Network Rail engineering works which means the route between Birmingham New Street and London Euston is closed.

Chiltern Railways says they are putting on extra trains between Birmingham Moor Street and Marylebone.

A spokesperson said the rail operator isn’t able to run extra services for the concerts because they don’t have enough trains.

A Chiltern Railways spokesperson explained: "Unfortunately, it's not possible for services to call at Wembley Stadium as well as providing the additional capacity needed between London Marylebone and Birmingham Moor Street. We're sorry for the inconvenience this will cause."

Taylor Swift's first London concert on Friday, June 21, won't be affected but fans travelling to her other two shows over the weekend may need to plan alternative routes.

Fans travelling to Wembley Stadium on Saturday and Sunday can take the Underground to Wembley Central and Wembley Park stations.

Wembley Park station is served by the Jubilee and Metropolitan lines and is just a 10 minute walk from Wembley Stadium. Wembley Central is served by the Bakerloo line and the London Overground and is a 22 minute walk away from the stadium.

A Transport for London (TfL) spokesperson said: “The London transport network, including Wembley Park station, is well-accustomed to handling high volumes of customers attending the frequent concerts, matches and events at Wembley Stadium.

“TfL works closely with Wembley Stadium and crowd control measures will be in place on public transport to ensure all Swifties get to and from the concerts safely.”
