Here is the full list of planned TfL service changes this weekend, June 7 to 9.

Londoners travelling into the capital this weekend could be faced with disruption due to closures on Tube and rail services.

Transport for London (TfL) has asked Londoners to check before they travel.

London Underground

District line

Sunday June 9

No service between Turnham Green and Richmond

Use local or rail replacement bus services. This is due to Network Rail track work.

Northern line

Friday 7 June until December 2024

Colindale station will be closed

Use local bus route 204 to/from Burnt Oak station or bus route 186 to/from Hendon Central station for the Northern line. Bus routes 32, 142, 186, 303 and 324 also provide connections to nearby Tube or Thameslink stations.

Fares will also be refunded automatically on bus route 186 between Mill Hill Broadway and Hendon Central stations for relevant journeys. During weekday peak times, additional bus route NL6 will run between Colindale and Hendon Central. Journeys on this route will be free of charge. For more information, visit our travel advice page.

Step-free access to the Tube is available at Hendon Central and Edgware stations. This is part of works to support the Colindale station upgrade.

Saturday 8 and Sunday June 9

No service between Edgware and Golders Green

Use alternative Tube services or local bus routes. Customers near Edgware or Burnt Oak and travelling to/from central London should use local buses for the Jubilee line. Rail replacement bus service NL1 will run. This is part of works to support the Colindale station upgrade.

London Overground

The following closures are due to Network Rail track and maintenance works, and HS2 works.

Saturday 8 and Sunday June 9

No service between Hackney Downs and Cheshunt/Enfield Town

Use alternative Tube services or local bus routes. Tickets will be accepted on Greater Anglia services at Stratford, Tottenham Hale or Cheshunt stations. Rail replacement buses will run between Seven Sisters and Cheshunt/Enfield Town.

Sunday June 9

No service between Willesden Junction and Shepherd's Bush

Use local bus routes 220 or 228. Southern Railway services will not run from 8pm on Saturday until 12pm on Sunday.

No service between Richmond and Willesden Junction

Use local bus routes. Rail replacement buses will run.

No service between Euston and Willesden Junction

Use alternative Tube services or local bus routes. This is due to HS2 works.

Trains to/from Chingford will not stop at Bethnal Green all day

Use alternative Tube services or local bus routes. 

No service between Camden Road and Stratford after 10.15pm

Use alternative Tube services or local bus routes. For Caledonian Road & Barnsbury, use local bus route 274 to/from Camden Road or walk to/from Highbury & Islington. Rail replacement buses will run.

Sunday 9 until Thursday June 13

No service between Hackney Downs and Chingford after 10.45pm each night

Use alternative Tube services or local bus routes. Rail replacement buses will run.

Elizabeth line

Saturday June 8

The last service from Heathrow T5 (0.07am) to Paddington will terminate at Ealing Broadway. This is due to HS2 works.

Sunday June 9

No service between Paddington and Ealing Broadway until 7.45am

Customers travelling to Heathrow from central London should use the Piccadilly line. Heathrow Express or Great Western Railway services will also not run during this time. This is due to HS2 works at Old Oak Common.

Monday 10 until Wednesday June 12

Reduced service between Ealing Broadway and Maidenhead/Heathrow T4 after 10pm each night. 

This is due to Network Rail Thames Valley improvement works.

DLR

Saturday 8 until Monday 10, and Wednesday 13 until Friday June 14

DLR services will close one hour earlier than usual each evening

All DLR services will stop running at 11.30pm on Saturday and Monday, and from Wednesday to Friday, and will stop running at 10.30pm on Sunday. Customers should complete their journeys on the DLR by these times. Use local bus routes afterwards.

This closure will repeat from Friday 21 until Tuesday June 25.

Buses and roads

Thursday 6 and Friday June 7

O2 Arena

From 6.30pm until 10.30pm each night, the O2 Arena will be hosting Liam Gallagher. Large crowds and increased traffic levels are expected.

Friday June 7

Wembley Stadium

From 5pm until 10pm, Wembley Stadium will be hosting the England vs Iceland football match, with kick off at 7.45pm. Large crowds and increased traffic levels are expected before and after the match.

Saturday 8 until Monday June 10

Blackwall Tunnel

From 0.01am on Saturday 8 until 5am on Monday June 10, Blackwall Tunnel will be closed southbound. This is while works continue to complete the new road layout, as part of the Silvertown Tunnel construction. 

The tunnel will remain open to northbound traffic during these times.

TfL expects roads and alternative river crossings in east and central London to be extremely busy with long delays to your journey. Queues along the A13 westbound between Canning Town and Whitechapel and on the approaches to Rotherhithe Tunnel are expected throughout the weekend.

From 10pm on Friday until approximately midnight on Sunday, bus route 108 will not cross the river and instead will operate as two services either side of the river, starting/terminating at Canning Town and North Greenwich.

To cross the river, use Tube and rail services. Auto refunds will be in place for bus 108 customers who touch in and out on the Jubilee line between North Greenwich and Canning Town.

From approximately midnight on Sunday, northbound buses will return to their normal route. Southbound buses will be diverted via Tower Bridge until the tunnel is re-opened to southbound traffic on Mondays.

If travelling during these times, plan ahead, allow more time for your journey and check before you travel.

Central London

A cycling event will depart from multiple locations in Clapham Junction, Croydon, Kew Bridge, Regents Park, Tower Hill, Wellington Arch and Waterloo, with all cycling routes heading into central London. Increased traffic levels and delays are expected along the route. 

From 10am, a ceremonial event will take place at Horse Guards Parade. The Mall will be closed and large crowds are expected.

From 12pm until 4pm a march will take place, beginning at Russell Square and ending at Whitehall. Large crowds, increased traffic levels and delays are expected.

Twickenham Stadium

From 1pm until 6pm, Twickenham Stadium will be hosting the Premiership Rugby Final between Northampton and Bath, with kick off at 3pm. Large crowds and increased traffic levels are expected.

O2 Arena

From 6.30pm until 10.30pm, the O2 Arena will be hosting Smashing Pumpkins and Weezer. Large crowds and increased traffic levels are expected. 

Saturday 8 and Sunday June 9

London Stadium

On Saturday 8 and Sunday June 9, London Stadium will be hosting the MLB World Tour. Large crowds and increased traffic levels are expected.

Sunday June 9

Stamford Bridge

From 5pm until 9pm, Stamford Bridge will be hosting the Soccer Aid football match, with kick off expected to be at 7pm. Large crowds and increased traffic levels are expected before and after the match.

Monday 10 and Tuesday June 11

O2 Arena

From 6.30pm until 10.30pm each night, the O2 Arena will be hosting Liam Gallagher. Large crowds and increased traffic levels are expected.
