Here is the full list of planned TfL service changes this weekend, October 6 to 8.

Londoners travelling into the capital this weekend could be faced with disruption due to closures on TfL services.

Transport for London (TfL) has asked Londoners to check before they travel this weekend.

Here is the full list of planned TfL service changes this weekend, October 6 to 8.

Metropolitan line

Saturday 7 and Sunday October 8

No service between Wembley Park and Amersham/ Chesham/Uxbridge/Watford via Harrow-on-the-Hill

Use alternative Tube services, local or rail replacement bus services. Replacement buses will run between Wembley Park and Watford, Northwood and Moor Park and between Rickmansworth and Chesham (via Amersham).

For travel from stations between Rayners Lane and Uxbridge towards central London, use local buses to West Ruislip or South Ruislip for the Central line, or to South Harrow for the Piccadilly line.

Piccadilly line

Saturday 7 and Sunday October 8

No service between South Harrow and Uxbridge

Use local bus services. For central London use buses to West Ruislip or South Ruislip for the Central line, or to South Harrow for the Piccadilly line.

London Overground

Sunday 8 October

No service between Romford and Upminster

Use local bus routes 165, 248 or 370.

No service between Richmond and Stratford until 12pm.

For Richmond, Kew Gardens and Gunnersbury, use the District line. For Caledonian Road & Barnsbury, use bus route 274 to/from Camden Road or walk to/from Highbury & Islington.

A rail replacement bus service will run every 15 minutes between Gunnersbury and Camden Road, and between Camden Road and Stratford. The first through train from Richmond to Stratford will be at 11.56pm, and from Stratford to Richmond at 12.38pm. This is due to Network Rail works.

No service between Willesden Junction and Shepherd’s Bush until 12pm

Use local bus routes 220 or 228. The first through train from Clapham Junction to Willesden Junction will be at 11.59pm, and from Willesden Junction to Clapham Junction at 12.38pm. This is due to Network Rail works.

No service between Gospel Oak and Woodgrange Park until 12pm

Use alternative Tube services for Walthamstow Central and Barking, and local bus routes between South Tottenham and Walthamstow Queen’s Road. A rail replacement bus service will run every 30 minutes between Gospel Oak and Seven Sisters (for South Tottenham), and every 20 minutes between Walthamstow Central and East Ham. This is due to Network Rail works.

Elizabeth line

Saturday October 7

The last train from Heathrow Terminal 5 (at 0.07am) will terminate at Ealing Broadway

Sunday October 8

No service between Paddington and Abbey Wood

Use alternative Tube, DLR or Southeastern Railway services or local bus routes.

No service between Paddington and Shenfield

Use alternative Tube services or local bus routes. A rail replacement bus service will run between Romford and Stratford, and between Shenfield and Newbury Park (via Chadwell Heath). This is due to Network Rail works.

No service between Paddington and Ealing Broadway until 7.45pm

Until 5.30am, customers travelling between central London and Heathrow should use the Piccadilly line. Customers travelling between central London and Heathrow between 5.30am and 8am should use the Central line to Ealing Broadway to connect with Elizabeth line services. This is due to HS2 works.

Buses and roads

Friday October 6

Wembley OVO Arena

Wembley OVO Arena will be hosting Ricky Gervais from 6pm until 11.30pm. Large crowds and increased traffic are expected.

The O2, North Greenwich

The O2 will be hosting Gabriel Iglesias in concert from 6.30pm until 10.30pm. Large crowds and increased traffic are expected.

Saturday October 7

Hyde Park

The Race for the Kids family fun run will be taking place in Hyde Park from 8am until 3pm. Large crowds are expected.

Drumsheds London, Tottenham Hale

The La Discothèque disco party will be taking place in Drumsheds London from 12pm until 10.30pm. Increased traffic and large crowds are expected.

The O2, North Greenwich

The O2 will be hosting Peter Kay from 6.30pm until 10.30pm. Increased traffic and large crowds are expected.

Southbound Blackwall Tunnel weekend closures

From 0.01am on Saturday October 7 until 5am on Monday October 9, Blackwall Tunnel will be closed to southbound traffic, through to the junction with Blackwall Lane.

The tunnel will remain open to northbound traffic. To travel southbound, plan ahead, check before you travel, use alternative river crossings and allow more time for your journey. To help you cross the river, the Woolwich Ferry will operate every 15-20 minutes between 7am and 6pm this weekend.

Impacted bus routes

From 10pm on Friday October 6 until approximately midnight on Sunday October 8, bus route 108 will not cross the river and instead will operate as two services, starting/terminating at Canning Town and North Greenwich. Use the Jubilee line to cross the river.

From approximately midnight on Sunday 8 October, northbound buses will return to their normal route. Southbound buses will be diverted via Tower Bridge until the tunnel is reopened to southbound traffic on Monday 9 October.

From 10pm on Friday October 6 until 5am on Monday October 9, bus route 330 will not run to Pontoon Dock, and will instead terminate at Canning Town station. For travel between Canning Town, West Silvertown and Pontoon Dock, please use the DLR.

Sunday October 8

Central London area

The Royal Parks Half Marathon will be taking place in central London from 6am until 1pm. Extensive road closures will be in place for the event. Large crowds and increased traffic are expected.

Tottenham Hotspur Stadium

The Jacksonville Jaguars will play Buffalo Bills in an American football match at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium from 2.30pm until 6pm. Large crowds and increased traffic are expected.

The O2, North Greenwich

The O2 will be hosting Ru Paul’s Drag Race in concert from 6.30pm until 10.30pm. Large crowds and increased traffic are expected.

A5, Edgware Road

Until 6pm on Saturday October 7, lanes two and three on Edgware Road (northbound) will be closed at the junction of A4205 Praed Street for Thames Water works.

A23/A232, Epsom Road

Until 5am on Tuesday October 10, Epsom Road will be closed in both directions between Purley Way and Duppas Hill Road for carriageway maintenance and works.

A40, New Bridge Street (City of London)

Until 11.59pm on Sunday October 29, New Bridge Street will be closed southbound for a crane operation at the junction of Queen Victoria Street.

A501/A4201, Marylebone Road and Park Square West

Until 19:00 on Sunday 5 November, Marylebone Road will be closed eastbound (lanes one and two of four) between its junction with Park Square West for Thames Water works.

A316 Manor Circus, Richmond

Until Spring 2024, there will be a series of lane closures and traffic management affecting each arm of the A316 Manor Circus roundabout. This is while we carry out essential maintenance works. To reduce disruption, works will take place on each arm separately with the most impactful works expected to be completed by December 2023.

Bus route R68 will not run its entire route during these works, use the R70 for stops between Richmond Manor Circus and Kew Retail Park. To plan your journey visit Journey Planner or download the TfL Go app.
