Sevilla are looking to replace loanees Boubakary Soumaré and Lucien Agoume, with sporting director Victor Orta now keen on bringing in Lokonga.

Discussions are still ongoing over where the move will be a loan with option or obligation, but it is agreed in principle that Lokonga will be be playing his football at the Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan Stadium next season.

A loan fee of £2.5million has been touted by Arsenal.

“I think that [my time at Arsenal] is slowly coming to the end,” Lokonga told VOO Sport last month. "I had a discussion with the club and what was said is that the best solution for me was to leave. "I have a one year contract plus a one year option, so now it's up to the club and my agent to find the best solution.”
