Defender wanted

Birmingham City want to sign Arsenal defender Auston Trusty on a permanent basis. The former Colorado Rapids defender has spent this season on loan with the Blues in the Championship and has become a key player for them. Their boss John Eustace has highlighted his desire to snap him up on a permanent basis and has said, as per a report by BirminghamLive:

“I would love him at the football club going forward. I think everyone connected to Birmingham City would love him to be part of the football club but we also respect he is an Arsenal player, a very good player but it’s something we can hopefully push at the end of the season.”

Winger eyed

Arsenal have called agent Jorges Mendes to ‘ask’ about the availability of Barcelona winger Ansu Fati this summer, according to Spanish news outlet Cadena Cop. Manchester United have also been mentioned as a potential suitor.

Mikel Arteta will be looking at possible targets for the next transfer window as he looks to further bolster his squad down the line. Fati, 20, has scored six goals in 30 games so far this term in all competitions.
