The Arsenal winger received treatment during Brazil training as he struggled to walk following the coming together.

Arsenal forward Gabriel Martinelli appeared to sustain an injury while in training for international side Brazil this week in a full-blooded clash with Porto defender Eder Militao.

Footage from the Brazilian training camp was picked up by TNT Sports and went viral online. Dorival Junior's side is preparing for the upcoming Copa America, with the nation's campaign kicking off against Costa Rica on June 25.

Martinelli is a key part of the Brazil team with two goals in his last three starts for his country. The Gunners man scored and started in a friendly against Mexico earlier this month and then made a cameo appearance from the bench in a friendly against the USA last week.

Brazil and Arsenal supporters may be concerned about the player's fitness after seeing the training camp video. Martinelli attacks a cross in the clip before being taken out by Militao.

The winger tumbles over the defender's body and clatters onto the ground. Militao tries to help the 23-year-old back to his feet before walking away seconds later, seemingly nonchalant about any potential damage done to Martinelli.

Arsenal teammate and compatriot Gabriel Magalhães is soon on the scene and shows concern for the forward, waving his arm in frustration at a lack of medical treatment for the player. Martinelli then receives treatment on the turf before hobbling away from the session and falling to the ground on the sidelines - Militao returns to give his teammate a small part of apology.

If the winger needs any spell on the sidelines, it will come as a blow for Brazil with the Arsenal man having missed March friendlies due to a foot injury. That problem also kept him out of club action for the Premier League victory against Brentford.

The Brazilian made 44 appearances in all competitions for Arsenal last season, scoring eight goals and picking up five assists. The player, who is valued at £60 million by Transfermarkt, recently responded to reports that the Gunners were in the market for another forward. He said: The people who play at Arsenal are very good. The club has to have the best players to have a chance of being champions. We have an outstanding team, with many players of incredible quality.

“The ones who define the issue of signings are Edu Gaspar and Arteta. It depends on them. We have to work on the field and leave that part of the signings to them.”
