Arsenal are reportedly interested in signing Athletic Bilbao winger Nico Williams at the end of this season. According to Spanish news outlet Fichajes, the London club are one of the ‘first candidates’ to land him this summer along with fellow English club Liverpool as they weigh up potential attacking additions.
Williams, 20, is being tipped for a bright future in the game and his current club will face a battle to keep hold of him amid interest from elsewhere. He has made 69 appearances in all competitions for the La Liga outfit to date and has scored 10 goals.
Midfielder latest
Arsenal have made West Ham midfielder Declan Rice their ‘top target’, as detailed in a report by Football London. The England international has been a key player for the Hammers over recent years but his future at the London Stadium is up in the air at the moment.
The England international was at the World Cup earlier this winter in Qatar and helped Gareth Southgate’s side reach the quarter-finals. His contract with the Hammers expires in June 2024 and they risk losing him for nothing if they don’t cash in on him soon.
