Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga has been brilliant since replacing Edouard Mendy in post.

Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga has been brilliant under Graham Potter and his fine form is making a great point for him to gate-crash Spain’s World Cup squad.

Against Brentford the Chelsea goalkeeper was in inspired form and produced five brilliant saves to ensure he kept another clean sheet and continued the unbeaten start to life under Potter.

New Chelsea manager Graham Potter continues to change his team but Kepa has been a main-stay purely based on his strong showing as evidenced against Aston Villa and Brentford.

The Blues have been growing steadily since Potter took over and even though they would have been disappointed with just a point, they will take respite in the fact that they remained unbeaten.

Brentford boss Thomas Frank who was slightly disappointed that his side could not take all three points despite their dominance says every Chelsea goalkeepers put on their best showing when they visit Brentford.

Thomas Frank said: “Kepa was fantastic. Everytime Chelsea come here their goalkeeper is man of the match.”

Growing injury concerns

The Blues have been dealing with huge injuries to key players including midfielder N’Golo Kante who is regarded as one of the best midfielders in the world, he will be out for four months after going through surgery.

Reece James who is without doubt in the best form of his life also suffered a knee injury and will likely miss the World Cup while Wesley Fofana, signed for almost £80 million is also out.

With games coming thick and fast the Blues will hope that they are able to navigate this period before breaking for the World Cup.
