'Very organised': Chelsea chairman has just revealed what his plans were when he bought the club

Chelsea have boosted their campaign with wins against Manchester United, Tottenham and West Ham.

Chelsea chairman Todd Boehly says the last two games are ‘exactly’ how he envisaged the club would be when he and his fellow co-investors decided to buy the club.

Chelsea have found form, strength and consistency at the tail end of the season, they have won games in all manners, with last-minute goals, putting teams to bed early and grinding results which is normally an indication of a team going places.

They have not lost a home league game since February and are in a strong position to finish in a Europa League position or at least a Conference League spot. They also reached the final of the League Cup and the semi-final of the FA Cup.

Boehly who has been quiet lately and has not been seen at Chelsea games lately told the Athletic: "We’ve seen the last two and a half games, at least in the second half at Aston Villa plus Tottenham and West Ham, where we played just beautiful football.

"It was so fluid, it was exactly the way we drew it up, when we came out of the back, built up and moved up the pitch, very organised, and the number of shots we had on board. "In those two and a half games, you could really start to see what we were working on coming together. “Even the commentary has changed over the last two and a half games. I’ve never seen anything change so quickly."

All attention on Nottingham Forest

Chelsea will take their recently found form to Nottingham Forest this weekend looking for three points that will pile the pressure on Newcastle and Tottenham.

Manager Mauricio Pochettino is also getting players back with both Christopher Nkunku and Levi Colwill looking to get minutes after being injured for large parts of this season.

Forest are fighting relegation but will also strengthen their survival chances if they can get something from the Chelsea game.
