Here we have rounded up a standout transfer story concerning each of the clubs as the end of the window comes into sight.

Fresneda boost

Chelsea are said to be rivalling Barcelona for the signing of Valladolid star Iván Fresneda.

Reports in Spain have claimed that Barca have been getting nervous over a rival offer, and Mundo Deportivo say Chelsea are now best-placed to pull off a deal for the young full-back. It’s claimed Chelsea plan to sign Fresneda ahead of instantly loaning him out so that he can get regular first-team minutes while he continues to develop.

Fresneda has a release clause worth a touch over £17million, while Valladolid will reportedly accept a deal worth £8.5million plus bonuses.

Wahi blow

Tottenham are said to be closing in on the signing of Gent striker Gift Orban.

“I expected progress to be made yesterday on that for Tottenham, but I’m not sure it was. That doesn’t look brilliant, but they were first on the scene and they are the most interested.,” insider Dean Jones told the Ranks FC Ultras Podcast.

“He is convinced of the personal package they have put in front of him, so that is going to be fine, it’s just about agreeing a deal with Gent, so let’s see what happens there,”

Orban is said to be worth around £20million, and he is said to be keen on a move to Spurs.
