Chelsea are splashing the cash again this summer as they look to build on their sixth-place finish.

Aston Villa youngster Omari Kellyman will undergo his Chelsea medical this week as he closes in on a sensational £19 million move to Stamford Bridge this summer, LondonWorld has been told. The youngster, who joined Villa just two seasons ago for a reported fee of £600,000, has done enough to earn himself a massive move to Chelsea after six first-team appearances. The Blues are snapping up some of the best young players in Europe and South America at the moment.

Chelsea hope that the midfielder will have a similar impact to Cole Palmer, who had barely played in the league for Manchester City but turned out to be an absolute hit at Stamford Bridge after arriving on transfer deadline day last summer for a fee around £40million.

Kellyman’s deal comes days after Chelsea confirmed the signing of 17-year-old highly-rated Brazilian Estevao, who was signed for a total of £54 million. LondonWorld has been told Chelsea paid £29 million upfront and will add £25 million in easily achievable targets set for the wonderkid.

A Chelsea statement read: “Chelsea Football Club has agreed a deal to sign teenage forward Estevao Willian from Palmeiras, with the Brazilian to officially join Chelsea next summer.

“The 17-year-old has already built a strong reputation in South America as one of the most exciting talents around due to his skilful dribbling and electric pace, causing defences plenty of problems in his breakout season in senior football.

“Estevao has featured 10 times in the Brazilian Serie A for Palmeiras, contributing two goals and two assists, as well as also finding the net in the Copa Libertadores and Copa do Brasil.

“The exciting forward, who joins fellow Brazilians Andrey Santos, Deivid Washington, and Angelo Gabriel at Stamford Bridge, has also featured for his nation at youth level.”

Chelsea continue £billion project

The latest signings confirm the owner's aim of building a team full of young talent, capable of sustaining itself. In the last two transfer windows, they have spent almost £1billion on players, with Gary Neville describing the project as a ‘billion-pound bottle job’ following their League Cup defeat to Liverpool at Wembley last season.

They finished sixth last season, securing Europa Conference League football, even though they had aimed for Champions League football after spending heavily.
