Chelsea transfer target reveals he’s not the biggest fan of London weather despite being linked with a move to Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea summer target and AC Milan star Rafael Leao says he’s not a big fan of London weather after being quizzed if he would swap Italy for England.

The Portuguese star has been one of the best Serie A players in the last three seasons and has consistently been linked with a move to Stamford Bridge under the new ownership.

Leao is a man with a growing reputation in world football with 36 goals and 31 assists in 149 appearances for Italian giants AC Milan.

The Portuguese forward was one of the outstanding players when AC Milan won the Serie A title last season and emerged as the Serie A Most Valuable Player and Serie A Footballer of the Year.

The 23-year-old forward’s contract runs out in the summer of 2024 with Chelsea believed to be admiring him and ready to tempt Milan with a bid for services in the summer.

But Leao has landed a blow to that interest by admitting he’s not a big fan of London weather and prefers the restaurants in Milan.

He is quoted by Abola in Portugal: “Maybe the Serie A is too easy! No, but seriously, I don’t like their weather.

“I only went there [London] for shopping. I like Milan. The duomo, the malls, the clubs and food are superior.”

Chelsea are going through a difficult period under manager Graham Potter having won only two games in their last 15 games in all competitions with the weekend’s game against Leeds United looking incredibly vital for Graham Potter’s future.
