How many points will Chelsea pick from their first five games of the season?

Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca will face three away matches in his first five games at Stamford Bridge. The Blues have a challenging start, opening against Manchester City before an away game at Wolves. They then host Crystal Palace, followed by trips to Bournemouth and West Ham.

In contrast, Tottenham, under Ange Postecoglou, have three home games, starting away at Leicester City, then hosting Everton, and playing Newcastle before home games against Arsenal and Brentford.

Liverpool, led by new manager Arne Slot, begin at Ipswich Town, host Brentford, then face Manchester United, followed by home games against Nottingham Forest and Bournemouth.

Last season Chelsea missed out on Champions League football due to a slow start to the campaign that saw them draw against Liverpool and lose away to West Ham in the first two games of the campaign.

By the time the season came to an end, they had found form, winning five of their last six games and finishing sixth. They will hope that replacing Maresca with Mauricio Pochettinno will give them a good start and help them to at least a fourth place this season.
