Latest Crystal Palace transfer news and rumours as they prepare for the next Premier League season

Crystal Palace are closing in on the signing of Daichi Kamada from Lazio. The Japan international, who has 31 caps under his belt so far in his career, worked under Oliver Glasner at Eintracht Frankfurt and the pair are now poised to reunite in England.

According to reporter Fabrizio Romano on X, the player has been booked in for medical tests later this week.

Kamada, who is 27-years-old, will give Crystal Palace more competition and depth in attacking areas if they can get the deal over the line.

He spent years at Frankfurt from 2017 to 2023 and scored 40 goals in 179 games for the Bundesliga side, helping them win the Europa League during his time there under Glasner.

Lazio snapped him up 12 months ago but his spell in Italy hasn’t quite gone to plan. However, a switch to the Eagles now could help him get his career back on track.

Elsewhere, The Mirror claim Crystal Palace are admirers of Luton Town pair Alfie Doughty and Teden Mengi.

Doughty caught the eye for the Hatters in this past campaign and gained eight assists from full-back. Brentford are also said to be keen on the ex-Charlton Athletic, Stoke City and Cardiff City man as well.

Mengi also impressed for Rob Edwards’ side despite the fact they were relegated to the Championship along with Sheffield United and Burnley. Fulham have been credited with an interest in the Manchester United academy graduate too.

In addition, The Mirror report Leeds United winger Crysencio Summerville is on Crystal Palace’s radar.

The Dutchman is set to cut ties with the Whites in the upcoming transfer window following their failure to gain promotion last term. They were beaten 1-0 in the play-off final at Wembley by Southampton after Adam Armstrong’s first-half goal.

Leeds may now need to offload some players to help balance the books as they look to mount another push for the top flight next term under former Norwich City boss Daniel Farke.

There will be plenty of competition for Summerville’s signature though with the likes of Chelsea and Liverpool linked over recent times.

Crystal Palace could be a sensible next destination for him though as he would more likely play more minutes for the South London outfit as opposed to going to a team playing in a European competition.

It remains to be seen whether the Eagles can keep hold of key men like Michael Olise and Eberechi Eze. Speaking earlier this month, Glasner said: “I’m very confident. They have contracts and they’re here. Nobody has told me that they will leave.

“We all did what we can do as Crystal Palace. We showed them we have ambition, how we want to play, what pathway we want to go and which journey we want to ride together.

“They can all play a crucial part in it, show their qualities and strengths. They can express themselves, and it fits together.

“This is what we can do. If something else happens, it’s part of football.”
