Roy Hodgson’s send spell at Crystal Palace will take off this weekend when they take Leicester at Selhurst.

Leicester City midfielder Dennis Praet is set to miss Belgium’s European Championship qualifier this evening and is now a doubt for the weekend’s visit to Selhurst in the Premier League.

The 28-year has been included in Belgium’s new coach Domenico Tedesco’s squad for this international break but he is now a doubt for this evening’s game against Germany having missed the last two training session.

Dennis Praet hasn’t been a regular under Leicester boss Brendan Rodgers this season, but he’s remained a key member of the dressing room and is said to be a positive figure in their fight against relegation this season.

His absence for tonight’s crunch game has led to doubts over his availability for the massive relegation scuffle clash that is expected in south London at the weekend.

Praet was an unused substitute in friday’s 3-0 win over Sweden. The game did see both Wout Faes and Timothy Castagne line up in the back four which is welcoming news to Foxes fans.

Crystal Palace are back under Roy Hodgson following a disappointing start to the year that has seen them without a win in 12 games, leading to the exit of Patrick Vieira.

Crystal Palace chairman Steve Parish pulled the plug on Vieira’s tenure after concerns emerged over the team’s Premier League survival chances and Roy Hodgson, who enjoyed four stellar years at Selhurst with his team never finishing below 14th on the league table.

The veteran manager’s return viewed as a gamble by fans is expected to provide the solidity that will secure another Premier League season.
