Patrick Vieira is not ruling out adding to his squad - even though he wont be drawn into names.

Crystal Palace’s Patrick Vieira has not entirely ruled out resigning Aaron Wan-Bissaka this summer after the player fell down the pecking order at Manchester United.

Diogo Dalot has jumped ahead of the former Palace full-back and there are growing reports that Erik ten Hag is ready  to sanction his sale from the club for a cut price.

Manchester United paid £50 million for the midfielder three years ago but are willing to let him go for around £10 million this summer with Palace hot on their heels, according to the DailyMail.

Palace have also been linked with Watford’s Ismaïla Sarr who was left out of their game against Birmingham City last weekend.

Asked how realistic it was to add to his squad the Palace man admitted they were short on numbers but could not comment on individual news names linked to the club.

He said: “This transfer window we have been linked with a lot of players and again it is difficult and not fair for me to mention any other players.

“It’s been clear that we are short in numbers by a couple of players and we want to improve the squad and then if we identify those players it may even happen and it may not even happen because we may not even have the resources to make it happen.

Asked if he was keen on bringing  Aaron Wan-Bissaka he smiled, before saying he was a good player.

He added: “I don’t have any comment to make because I think when you play in the Premier League you are a good player regardless of which team you play for.”
