Antonio Conte is regarded as one of the best football managers in the world and he wanted assurance the club was ambitious and willing to build a team that would not only challenge for top four but rather challenge for the league title, an assurance he got from the team.

There has been an injection of £150 million from owners ENIC that will help bring in top class players and with Champions League football returning to the Tottenham Hotspurs stadium next season, there really is enough reason for Conte to stay on.

The former Inter Milan man has won league titles almost everywhere he’s been and is famous for beating both Jurgen Klopp and Pep Guardiola to the Premier League when they all moved to England in 2016, when Conte was the then-Chelsea boss.

Tottenham have not won a major trophy since 2008 and Antonio Conte will be immortalised if he can become the first manager to help Spurs to a major title of any kind.

With his future now decided the Italian manager will now look to jump on to the business of the summer where he has been linked to players like Christian Eriksen and Yves Bissouma.
