Cristian Stellini who won important games against Manchester City and Chelsea in Antonio Conte’s absence will take charge of the last 10 games of the season.

Cristian Stellini and Ryan Mason will be in charge of Tottenham for the last  10 games of the season after the club announced the departure of manager Antonio Conte on Sunday evening.

Italian manager Antonio Conte whose arrival was supposed to herald a trophy-laden period for Spurs plunged the club into chaos when he accused his players of being “selfish” following a 3-3 draw at Southampton.

Conte’s assistant Cristian Stellini will step up to see out the season with chairman Daniel Levy urging everyone to focus and secure Champions League football with the Lilywhites currently fourth on the Premier League table and take on relegation threatened Everton next.

He said in a club statement: “We have 10 Premier League games remaining and we have a fight on our hands for a Champions League place.

“We all need to pull together. Everyone has to step up to ensure the highest possible finish for our club and amazing, loyal supporters.”

Shortly after Conte’s sacking was confirmed, Tottenham fans took to Twitter to express their delight and hope for the future with most having lost faith with the once revered tactician.

Tottenham are now searching for their fourth ppermamant manager since 201 with early front runners being former boss Mauricio Pochettino and recently sacked Bayern Munich boss Julian Nagelsmann.
