Standing in their way will be Antonio Conte and his top-four chasing Tottenham side who come into the game on the back of an impressive 3-1 win over Leicester City.

The North London are on a mission to return Champions League football to their modern stadium and will look to cause havoc to Klopp’s mythical ambitions of a quadruple.

With every game now potentially season defining, the game against Spurs kick starts a week which will usher Liverpool into an FA Cup final at Wembley against Chelsea next Saturday.

The Liverpool boss said: “I don’t know but he is ready for training, the foot thing meant he couldn’t do a lot.

“We have to make sure he has a couple of sessions. It might be possible that he is part but it might make more sense for him to train through the weekend aside that everything is fine.”

Antonio Conte’s side have a mountain to climb in that the Red are unbeaten in their 21 league games but the pressure is building by the game.

For Spurs there is little room for error and their next two games will be season defining, but a win at Anfield ahead of the North London derby will turn an average season into a very successful one.
