Tottenham have Conor Gallagher high on their transfer list ahead of what could be a massive summer.

Chelsea star Conor Gallagher has hinted he’ll be at the club next season in a blow to Tottenham who have been speaking to him behind the scenes about a £50million move from west London to north London.

Speaking after England’s 3-0 win over Bosnia and Herzegovina on Monday night, Gallagher said he was looking forward to working with newly appointed Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca in what is ahint of his plans for the summer.

He told Sky Sports: “Myself and everyone at Chelsea are excited and happy to work with Enzo Maresca. We want to get Chelsea back to where they belong!.”

Chelsea are looking to sell some of their academy players for what they term as pure profit- and Gallagher, as well as Trevoh Chalobah, are all being looked up by clubs in the league and abroad.

Last season, no outfield players started more games than Gallagher but with just two years left on his contract, Chelsea are walking on thin ice as they risk him running down his deal and walking for free when his current contract expires.

Tottenham have made strides under Ange Postecoglou after they finished fifth in the league, securing Europa League football. They’re front runners for Gallagher but his resolve to stay at Stamford Bridge could mean this drags on all summer or they lose out on him entirely.

Tottenham already doing business

Spurs have already made their move in the transfer window, extending the contract of Timo Werner who scored two goals from 13 appearances in the second half of last season.

They're also on the hunt for a midfielder this summer, another defender and a winger to add competition and provide depth with more games due to the Europa League coming up.

Swedish sensation Lucas Bergvall who was signed in the winter is also likely to join the Lilywhites this summer before a decision is made on his long-term future.
