The biggest story surrounding West Ham United’s transfer business this summer remains the next destination for Declan Rice as clubs continue to fight for his signature. West Ham have made João Palhinha their top priority target this summer as they look to replace Rice. Football Insider has reported that the club will need to offer between £50-60 million to Fulham in order to persuade them to part ways with their midfielder.

Palhinha only joined the Cottagers last summer but he has already made a big impact on the team and played a big role in their strong run this last season. Naturally, Fulham are reluctant to let him leave so soon but the right price could tempt them to sell up, especially as West Ham believe the Portugal international is the “perfect replacement” for Rice.

Six players tipped to leave West Ham

Rice is the most obvious player on the West Ham departure list this window but there could be as many as five more headed for the exit as well. That’s acording to Claret and Hugh, who claim that six Hammers stars have been listed to depart, with their skipper one of the main names.

Manuel Lanzini is another big player who is set to depart — his contract has not been renewed and he has been linked with a move to Beşiktaş. The report also claims that neither Mipo Odubeko or Jamal Baptiste are likely to be retained, while Gianluca Scamacca and Ben Johnson could also be sold to help boost West Ham’s summer budget.
