Five parks and green spaces to visit in London as the city welcomes warmer weather.

The capital is set to get warmer from this week as a "mini heatwave" is expected to take over the city. As London heats up, we've compiled some parks and green spaces to soak up the sun.

According to the Met Office, the sun is expected to shine down on London's famous skyline this week as temperatures get closer to 20°C across the city. The capital is set to have a peak temperature of 21°C, with the warm weather likely to continue into next week.

With the sun on its way, many Londoners are no doubt set to flock to parks across the city to bask in its warmth. It may surprise some city dwellers to hear that there is more green space across London than the area covered by both railways and roads.

In total, the city is home to 3,000 parks that are dotted around London's 32 boroughs. The city also has eight royal spaces, including St James' Park.
