What London Taylor Swift fans should know ahead of her Wembley Stadium Eras Tour shows.

With Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour having already stopped in both Edinburgh and Liverpool as part of its UK shows, here's what London fans can expect at Wembley Stadium.

The chart topper kicked off her Eras Tour UK shows in Edinburgh at the start of the month as she performed at the Murrayfield Stadium. Last week Swift was welcomed by Liverpool as she had a three night residency at the city’s Anfield Stadium.

Following shows in Cardiff, London will be next to host the singer as she plays her first three shows out of a whopping eight in the capital, this weekend.

As many Swifties prepare for the London shows this week, here’s what fans in the city can expect based on the experiences of some of our NationalWorld writers from The Scotsman and Liverpool World who attended both the Eras Tour in Edinburgh and Liverpool.

Swifties will shimmer in their Eras Tour looks

If you’re not wearing feathers, cowboy boots or glitter are you even going to the Eras tour? We for sure can’t wait to see all the bejewelled looks of London fans this week.

Scotsman writer Rachel Mackie described Murrayfield Stadium to be “truly sparkling” during her Eras Tour concert even before Taylor took to the stage thanks to the fans.

Be prepared for queues

As the Eras tour has taken over some of the UK’s biggest stadiums and is set to take over the 90,000 capacity Wembley Stadium, queues are to be expected.

While Scotsman writer Rachel Mackie felt like she “couldn’t move anywhere without having to queue,” Liverpool World writer Emma Dukes said fans shouldn’t “stress too much over queues.”

She added: “we were so prepared for chaos and it was genuinely fine. The longest queues you’ll face will probably be fifteen minutes for a drink but there are so many toilets around that even a loo break is fine.”

No we’re not talking how many fans will be in attendance at her London shows, we mean how loud they will be as they sing along with Swift through her different eras.

Another writer of The Scotsman who attended the Eras tour in Edinburgh, Lauren Jack described the concert atmosphere as “electric” and noted she “had to stop singing just to take in the sheer volume of the audience.”

Lauren added that Swift also highlighted the loudness of fans as the singer quipped: “The volume of singing. The dancing. You guys are performing on another level. I can’t stop looking at the crowd. Like, I’m captivated.”

You don’t need to get their too early unless you’re in the pit

If you have a standing ticket for the London shows you may want to head in as soon as the stadium gates open to secure a good spot near the stage. But if you have a seated pass you don’t need to worry about getting inside Wembley Stadium early.

Liverpool World writer Emma Dukes explained: “Unless you’re standing, I also don’t think there is any need at all to arrive too early, arrive between 4.00pm and 4.30pm and I don’t think you’ll be waiting too long.”

Swifties will still welcome you, friendship bracelets or not

Having become a somewhat Swiftie tradition for fans at the Eras Tour shows thanks to the Midnights track You’re On Your Own Kid you’ll no doubt see many friendship bracelets across the London shows.

But even if you don’t have your own bracelets to trade, you probably won’t go home empty handed.  Liverpool World writer Emma Dukes said while she “arrived with no friendship bracelets” she “left with several, with many kind people offering to share theirs.”
