Good news as food hygiene ratings awarded to 18 City of London establishments

A Food Standards Agency rating sticker on a window of a restaurant in central London. A huge variation in food hygiene standards remains across the UK, with one in five high or medium-risk food outlets failing to meet standards, according to a study.

New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to 18 of City of London’s establishments, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows – and it’s good news for them all.

Restaurants, cafes and canteens

The following ratings have been given to nine restaurants, cafes or canteens:

• Rated 5: Honi poke, Unit 2B at 10 Fleet Place, London; rated on March 21

• Rated 5: Grind & Co Ltd at 34 Royal Exchange, London; rated on March 17

• Rated 5: OenoHouse at 16-17 Royal Exchange, London; rated on March 17

• Rated 5: The Chamberlain Hotel at 130-135 Minories, London; rated on March 14

• Rated 5: Rocoto at Retail Unit, 57-60 Aldgate High Street, London; rated on March 12

• Rated 5: Searcys at 30 St Mary Axe, London; rated on March 10

• Rated 5: Boisdale of Bishopsgate at Restaurant, 202 Bishopsgate, London; rated on March 9

• Rated 5: City Of London Club at 19 Old Broad Street, London; rated on March 9

• Rated 5: London Steakhouse at Retail Unit University House, 109-117 Middlesex Street, London; rated on March 8
