But motorists will be able to take some solace in the fact that all of them are only expected to cause slight delays, of under 10 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that four closures are due to start this week:

A12, from 10pm September 5 to 5am September 6, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M25, junction 28, Lane closures for electrical works.

A12, from 10pm September 6 to 5.30am September 7, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M25 anti-clockwise, junction 29 to junction 28, Lane closures for electrical works.

A127, from 10pm September 8 to 5am September 9, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M25 clockwise, junction 29 to A127 roundabout, Lane closures for electrical works.

A12, from 10pm September 12 to 5am September 17, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M25 clockwise and anti clockwise, junction 28, Lane closures for scheme works.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
