Road closures: nine for Hillingdon drivers this week

Drivers in and around Hillingdon will have nine National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

And seven of them are expected to cause moderate delays – with motorists facing waits of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:

M25, from 12.02am June 1 2022 to 11.59pm June 1 2023, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M25 clockwise, junction 15, Hard shoulder closure for CAT 1 embankment erosion.

And a further eight closures will begin over the next seven days:

M25, from 10pm September 5 to 5.30am September 6, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M4 westbound, junction 4B to junction 5, carriageway closure for Smart Motorway works, diversion via National highways roads and local authority (M25, junction 14, A3113, A3044, A4 to M4, junction 5).

M25, from 10pm September 6 to 5.30am September 7, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M4 eastbound, junction 4B to junction 3, carriageway closure, entry slip road closure and lane closures for M4 Smart Motorways, diversion via National Highways and TFL roads.

M4, from 10pm September 6 to 5.30am September 7, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M4 westbound, junction 3 to junction 4B, carriageway closure and entry slip road closures for M4 Smart Motorway works, diversion via TFL roads.

M4, from 10pm September 9 to 6am September 17, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M4 westbound, junction 4, Lane and link road closures for resurfacing works, diversion via Local authorities.

M4, from 10pm September 10 to 5.30am September 12, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M4 westbound, junction 3 to junction 4B, Week end carriageway closure and entry slip road closures for M4 Smart Motorway works, diversion via TFL roads.

M25, from 10pm September 10 to 5.30am September 12, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M4 eastbound, junction 4B to junction 3, Weekend carriageway closure, entry slip road closure and lane closures for M4 Smart Motorways, diversion via National Highways and TFL roads.

M25, from 10pm September 19 to 5.30am September 21, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M25 clockwise, junction 14 to junction 15, carriageway, link, lane,entry and exit slip roads for surfacing works, diversion via National Highways network.

A40, from 11pm September 19 to 6am September 20, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A40 northbound to M40 northbound, junction 1, Lane closures for maintenance work.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
