Good news as food hygiene ratings given to 13 Kensington and Chelsea establishments

A Food Standards Agency rating sticker on a window of a restaurant in central London. A huge variation in food hygiene standards remains across the UK, with one in five high or medium-risk food outlets failing to meet standards, according to a study.

New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to 13 of Kensington and Chelsea’s establishments, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows – and it’s good news for them all.

Restaurants, cafes and canteens

The following ratings have been given to nine restaurants, cafes or canteens:

• Rated 5: Atis Notting Hill at 37-39 Pembridge Road, London; rated on June 1

• Rated 5: Cacciari's Restaurant at Basement And Ground Floor, 349 Portobello Road, London; rated on May 31

• Rated 5: Pret A Manger at Unit 1a, 35 King'S Road, London; rated on May 27

• Rated 5: The Black Penny at 55 Duke Of York Square, London; rated on May 27

• Rated 5: Threads & Co at 256 Kensington High Street, London; rated on May 27

• Rated 5: Bullgogi at 145 Notting Hill Gate, London; rated on May 25

• Rated 5: Cafe Volonte at 299-301 Brompton Road, London; rated on May 17

• Rated 5: Blakes at 112 Ladbroke Grove, London; rated on May 11

• Rated 5: Five Guys at 43 Thurloe Street, London; rated on May 5
