New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to two of Newham’s takeaways, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.

KFC - Drive-Thru, at Unit 2, Gateway Retail Park, Claps Gate Lane, Beckton was handed a five-out-of-five rating after assessment on February 5.

And Nepal Momo, at 4 To 6 Carlton Terrace, Green Street, Forest Gate, London was given a score of zero on January 16.

It means that of Newham's 343 takeaways with ratings, 158 (46%) have ratings of five and just five have zero ratings.
