New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to two of Redbridge’s restaurants, cafes or canteens, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows – and it’s good news for them both.

McDonalds, at Unit 9 Woodford Trading Estate, Southend Road, Woodford Green was handed a five-out-of-five rating after assessment on November 8.

And TGF Pizza, at 13 Woodford Avenue, Ilford was also given a score of five on November 7.

It means that of Redbridge's 357 restaurants, cafes and canteens with ratings, 221 (62%) have ratings of five and just one has a zero rating.
