New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to two of Tower Hamlets’s restaurants, cafes or canteens, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows – and it’s bad news for them both.

Chickies Point, at 590 Roman Road, London was handed a zero-out-of-five rating after assessment on May 5.

And Lucky Dog, at Ground, 70 Brick Lane, London was also given a score of zero on May 5.

It means that of Tower Hamlets's 979 restaurants, cafes and canteens with ratings, 677 (69%) have ratings of five and just three have zero ratings.
